…Charges Staff on Cooperation and unity

In a resolute call for synergy and strategic cooperation, the newly inaugurated Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Princess Emem Ibanga, has emphasized on the need for unity, love and collective purpose in advancing the Ministry’s mandate in the state.

Addressing staff during a solemn assembly held at the Ministry’s conference room on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Hon. Ibanga explained that oneness and love are indices of development and growth and as such should be seen among staff of the Ministry.

The former Nsit Atai Council Boss, posited that, as a newly created Ministry, it was required by all staff to bring their wealth of knowledge and experience to bare, so as to achieve the successes needed in the mission of delivering impactful humanitarian services to vulnerable persons in the state.

She called for teamwork among staff to enable them perform optimally, urging them to embrace a result oriented approach to discharging their duties.
” I want to grow with you, I want us to record successes together, and with God on our side we will succeed” she said.

Reaffirming her commitment to service, she expressed profound gratitude to the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, Ph.D for the confidence vested in her, and pledged her dedication to executing her responsibilities with distinction.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Eno Akpan, who took the Commissioner round the office, formally welcomed and assured her of the staff unflinching support and alignment with her vision for the Ministry.

The Honorary Special Adviser to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs. Ime Essien, and the Special Assistant, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, in their separate remarks, urged Ministry staff to cultivate a receptive attitude towards continuous learning, so as to get the needed exposure for effective service delivery.

Exhorting on the theme” The Architect of divine speed, referencing Gen 24:12, the Head of Account, Mr Emmanuel Okon, said that God is the giver of grace for service, encouraging staff to depend on Him to function in their various offices.

The assembly, which featured segments of praise, intercessory prayers, and expressions of gratitude, had in attendance, Heads of Departments, Mr. Edwin James (Administration and Supplies), Mr. Aniekan Akpan (Planning, Research, and Statistics), and the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs. Mfon Israel.
