The Honourable Member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Patrick Umoh, has reaffirmed his commitment to youth development.
He made the this known recently while throwing his support to the Ibom Tech Skills Project 2024 in commemoration of the International Youth Day.
The event, organised by the Youth Wing of the Akwa Ibom Community, Abuja, took place at the Akwa Ibom House in the Central Business District of Abuja.
The Ibom Tech Skills Project 2024, a three-month hybrid training program, is designed to equip young people with essential technical skills in areas such as Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Web Design, App Development, and Coding. The initiative received widespread acclaim from the participants, with many recognising it as a crucial step towards bridging the digital skills gap among youth. Understanding the significance of this program, Hon. Umoh generously donated the sum of N1 million to ensure participants have the resources they need to succeed.
Hon. Umoh’s support further reaffirms his dedication to empowering the next generation with the skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. It also reflects his commitment to supporting innovation and creating opportunities for young people to thrive in a technology-driven world in order to become self-reliant.
