INI Students Worldwide Passes Vote of Confidence on Hon. Lawrence Udoide

… as Assembly Member empowers Ini Students with N2.4m Education Grant

The Students of Ini Local Government Area under the aegis of “Ini Students Worldwide” have passed vote of confidence on Hon. Lawrence Udoide, member representing Ini State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, describing him as an exemplary leader who has fulfilled his campaign promises to the students and has taken educational investment to a greater heights for the benefit of Ini students.

The Ini Students Worldwide President Comrade Kubiat Obot made the proclamation today at the Conference Hall of the Assembly during the student’s converge to receive students grant from the Ini Assemblyman.

The resolve which followed an unequivocally voices appreciation extended a robust vote-of-confidence adopted through a motion moved by the College of Education Chapter President Comrade Victor Moses and supported by Comrade Emmanuel Jacob Udo said Udoide’s adroit Legislative skills and unyielding commitment to excellence have indeed catapulted them to new heights fostering for conducive learning and intellectual growth; and that his sterling leadership is a clear testament to his incomparable acumen, a trait that continues to inspire the students body and fortify its standing in academic landscape.

Moreso, the students added that it is under his sagacious guidance that the students continually cultivates a cadre of exemplary leaders in the likes of Hon. Udoide adding that the students is convinced that with his leadership and enthusiastic hope, education will continue to be a beacon of illuminating path for future generation of scholars.

Meanwhile, Hon. Udoide at the well attended converges by stakeholders of Ini State Constituency doles out 2.4 Million Naira to 60 Students of Ini State Constituency as his 1st phase of Education Grant.

In his remarks, the Ini astute lawmaker who is a well known as a philanthropist and lover of students/constituents as referenced by his kinsmen said that he started his undeterred Students Empowerment Scheme far back 2015 when he was appointed as the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel

Seeking for reciprocation of similar gesture tomorrow, Elder Udoide charged the Students to desist from criminal activities and social vices rather prepared themselves to become good ambassadors of tomorrow. He commended the efforts of the Selection Committee for their transparent approach in selecting the beneficiaries without rancor or bad faith and thereby reiterated his unalloyed commitment to commence the next batch of his educational grant support program soon.

Declaring the Event opened, the Chairman Udoide Education Grant Selection Committee Mr. Akam Akamkpo who was ably represented by his Vice Chairman and Registrar, College of Science and Technology, Nung Ukim, Dr. Samuel Owerekpe in his opening address said that the essence of grant remains to give sense of belonging to Ini students and to show that their leaders think more of their future by developing intellectual properties, “a gesture which should not be forgotten in a hurry” Owerekpe opined.

Consequently, The Ini Local Government Transition Committee Chairman and the PDP Chairmanship flag bearer for the forthcoming Local Government election Barr. Inibehe Umah in his remarks extol the gesture of the lawmaker said his determination to encourage the young ones “by giving them bread to eat and seeds to sow is a pathway of building tomorrow from today”

In his support, , the Council helmsman gave a cash donations of N500,000 to students said that Hon. Udoide has laid a good foundation for other leaders to emulate.

Similarly, the HSA to the Governor on Project Implementation, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ekpenyong, a former State House member representing the area and a two terms Chief whip of the House of Assembly admonished the students to make good use of the grant and as well continues in preaching Udoide’s humanitarian service to the public saying that God has passed through him to bless them even when the economy is not smiling.

Also remarked were The PDP Chapter Chairman of the Area Hon. Imo Abang, Dr. Ekpe Nsah among others who in their separate speeches appreciated the remarkable gesture of Hon. Udoide and as well described him as a trusted Legislator with a golden heart.

The stakeholders in unison also encouraged the students make good use of the grant, make way to project Ini local government to a greater height in their academic pursuit as to whom much is given much is expected.

However, the high point of the event was Cash presentation of cash to beneficiaries.

Also present to grace the event include Mrs. Veronica Edidiong, the PDP Vice Chairmanship Candidate, DSP. Asuquo Inyang (Rtd) the DSO University of Uyo, Eld. (Hon.) Isaac Moses, DG. Eka Ubok Abasi Campaign Organization; the 11 PDP Councillorship Candidates, Chief of Staff to Hon. Udoide, Mr. Ekanem Ekanem; Cde. Uko James Uko Former Ini Students Worldwide President, as well as Mr. Effiong Essien among others.
