While the social media is awash with Mercy Chinwo son’s pictures, ashoebi ladies today disgraced their best friend on her wedding day by stealing over 20 pieces of branded towels from a world class hotel in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State where the couple paid for them to lodge for the wedding ceremonies.
Problem started when the groom who is in his 30s and his wife were prevented from entering his car to their wedding reception on the grounds that the hotel’s towels were missing.
The groom had to ransack the Prado jeep that conveyed him and his wife in search for the towels only to receive security report that his wife’s friends who were almost naked in their ashoebi stole the towels and absconded from the hotel.
This prompted the groom to immediately dispatch security to the venue of the wedding reception which took place in Ikot Ekpene Town and order all the ashoebi ladies out, conveying them in a branded tinted bus back to the hotel where their bags were searched and the towels were retrieved from the women some of them in their late 30s.
About three of the towels were not found and the management the hotel ordered the groom to pay N120,000.
The groom who was visibly angry, openly scolded his wife and questioned the type of friends she packed to their wedding ceremonies.
Onlookers and staff of the hotel watched in awe as to what will happen between the wife and her husband on their wedding night tonight when they should be enjoying the greatest day of their life.
