The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) Alumni Association is set to host its annual reunion for the year, 2024, on Tuesday 10th December, at the Nwaniba Hall, Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort, Uyo.
A statement from the Alumni signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Barr Ini Ememobong invites all Uniuyo Alumni to the reunion with the theme; ‘DRAWING FROM GOWN TO INFLUENCE THE TOWN’’ under the distinguished Chairmanship of Ide Owodiong Idemeko, while the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor (Dr.) Umo Eno will serve as Special Guest of Honour.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN), Inam Wilson will be the guest lecturer.
The Guest of honour is the Vice -Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo while the National President of the alumni,Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke is the Chief Host.
The reunion, which is open to all alumni of the university, promises to be an exciting opportunity for old friends and classmates to reconnect and reminisce about their time at the university.
The statement quotes the National President of the University of Uyo alumni,Barr Onofiok Luke as saying”This reunion is spurred by the historic attainments of many of our alumnus, we have produced A Governor, Vice Chancellor, Senators, MPs, Professors, Senior Advocates, Commissioners and numerous people of note and this is our defining moment, when we must come together to celebrate these feats. We will use the opportunity to reflect on the impact our citadel of learning has made on our environment, and propose future plans for the alumni. We will also celebrate the best graduating students and others who have won different laurels”.
All alumni are encouraged to attend, and to invite their friends and classmates to join in the celebration.
