🩵💧The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk-Anam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, has added another feather 🪶 to his cap 🎓 🧢.
💧In recognition of his sterling performance at the Green chamber of the National Assembly, the united Nations Peace Organization over the weekend presented the distinguished parliamentarian award, as outstanding lawmaker in the year 2024 on the Ukanafun/Oruk-Anam Federal Constituency representative.
💧Conferring the award on the National Assembly Member, the Country Representative of United Nations Peace Organization, Mr. Mojima Etukudoh, disclosed that award follows the follows the lawmakers sterling performance in the National Assembly.
💧According to the UNPO, Hon . Unyime Idem emerged through a process, following his outstanding performance, which towers above other parliamentarians whose names made the screening list.
💧Mr. Etukudo, while commending the House of Representatives Member, highlighted some of his modest achievements to include people-oriented bills, motions, excellent oversight activities, empowerment of constituents through skills, business grants, facilitation of federal jobs, attraction of numerous projects, among others, and urged him to see his present office as a stepping stone to higher responsibilities in future.
💧Reacting, the lawmaker in a post updated on his official handle, said the award would spur him to do more.
💧He reassured his constituents of his determination to do more to attract democracy dividends to his constituency in particular and Akwa Ibom as a whole.
💧“For me, the award, which is one of many others, is a propeller to do more for my constituents, who entrusted me with their mandate to represent them at the National Assembly”.
💧“It also means that our modest efforts and achievements are getting international attention. I still stand by my promise to my constituents that I will not get carried away by our achievements so far, but will keep pushing, to bring more dividends of democracy to the constituency and Akwa Ibom state”.
💧In Akwa Ibom since he was elected into the House of Representatives, Unyime Idem has earned commendation from both his constituents in Ukanafun and Oruk-Anam as well the entire Akwa Ibom for redefining legislative representation through the quality of bills and motion,
