…sues for unity in Abak
…as A’Ibom Speaker, other stakeholders appreciates Umo Eno
The newly sworn-in Commissioner for Information in Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Elder. Aniekan Umanah has assured Governor Umo Eno that the people of Abak are ready to reciprocate his gesture of appointing him to the state Executive Council.

Umanah made the pledge, yesterday at his hometown in Abak, during a post inauguration reception party held in his honor, where he expressed his gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve. He pledged to work tirelessly to actualize the Governor’s Arise Agenda blueprint.

The Commissioner, flanked by his dear Wife, Mrs. Maureen Umanah, also called on the people of Abak to unite in order to further the frontiers of development in the area, saying he has no grudges against anyone, as his doors are open to all.
Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, appreciated the Governor for giving Abak a slot in the State Executive Council. He expressed confidence in Umanah’s ability to deliver in his new role, given his wealth of experience in information management and having served before in the same Ministry.

On his part, the PDP Chapter Chairman for Abak, Mr. Akan Ntia, also thanked the Governor for Umanah’s appointment, describing him as well-experienced and capable of delivering on his assignments.
Barr. Patrick Udomfang, Managing Director of Akwa Ibom Property Investment Company (APICO), expressed confidence in Umanah’s ability to deliver in his assigned office, stating that he has never been found wanting in any assignment.

Other stakeholders who spoke at the reception ceremony also thanked the Governor for selecting Umanah to serve in his cabinet.
Former Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, members of the Media community led by the State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Amos Etuk, as well as a cross section of party faithful across political divide, Elders, Women and youths came out in their numbers to show solidarity with the Information Commissioner.

Umanah’s appointment has been widely welcomed, with many expressing confidence in his ability to drive the Governor’s “Arise Agenda” forward.
