The forum of serving supervisors, Uyo senatorial district has appreciated the state governor for giving them the opportunity to serve in the current transition committees in the state.
The leadership of the forum in the nine local government areas that makes up the senatorial district stated this over the weekend in a message of appreciation penned to the governor to express their heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity given them to launch their political leadership careers saying that no place would have been better like the grassroots where they have a direct relationship with the people.
The letter of appreciation which was made available to the Pioneer said they were happy with the governor for the significant accomplishments he has recorded in just fifteen months in office.
His leadership style anchored on the Arise Agenda , they said has brought about an agricultural revolution in the state , appreciable rural development , infrastructural renaissance , proper security management and a noteworthy educational advancement.
The letter signed by the chairman of the forum, Ubong Udo Ekong who incidentally is the coordinator of the forum for Etinan local government area, the secretary , Obong Idara Akpan who is the coordinator for Uyo local government area, Prince Etuk who is the coordinator for Nsit Ubium local government area and the other six chapter coordinators of the forum commended the dynamic and conscientious leadership style of the governor which they also said had the ruling party in the state, the PDP conduct a very peaceful and transparent congresses that produced wards and chapter executives officers as well as chairmanship and councillorship candidates of the party in the forth coming local government elections in the state without any rancour.
This people centre leadership style of the governor the forum pointed out is what endeared the youths to him which manifested recently when they accepted his plea to shelve the recently concluded ‘endbadgovernnace’ protest in the country thus averting the dangers that usually occurs when protest are hijacked by hoodlums as witnessed in other states.
They also commended the governor for the opportunity given them serve stressing that it is only in the current government that all the wards in the state are represented in the transition committees . this development they said has brought the government closer to the grassroots as it has given members of the party at that level a sense of belonging and a desire to do more for the party.
They particularly appreciated the governor for the quality of projects carried out by the governor in Uyo senatorial district which traverse road construction, the model farm at Nsit Ubium, construction of primary health centres , model primary schools and several erosion intervention projects .
They assured the governor that they will continue to reciprocate his gesture by working assiduously and in harmony with the system to achieve the goals of the Arise Agenda .
