News Flash

A promising development emerges as BFI Group and CNCEC International formalize a $1.2 billion investment agreement aimed at revitalizing the long-inactive 135MMscfd Gas Processing Plant at the Aluminum Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON) in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State.

This landmark move signals a significant leap forward for Nigeria’s industrial landscape, setting ALSCON on a course to re-establish itself as a premier aluminum producer with a projected annual capacity of 300,000 metric tonnes, targeting both domestic and international markets.

The Federal Government’s commitment to ALSCON’s reactivation is poised to reshape the national aluminum industry, harnessing Nigeria’s natural gas resources to elevate the country’s position as a formidable force in Africa and globally within the aluminum sector.
