OKU IBOM IBIBIO EXTENDS ROYAL HOSPITALITY TO AN AMERICAN IN-LAW, ADAM LEFKOE AND FAMILY

The Oku Ibom Ibibio and President General of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk JP, CFR, warmly welcomed renowned American media personality and talk show host, Adam Lefkoe, to his palace in Ikot Ukobo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.

Adam Lefkoe, who recently exchanged vows with his beautiful wife, Dr. Inemesit Akpan Lefkoe from Afia Nsit Atai in Nsit Ubium LGA, paid homage to the Supreme Royal Father on Sunday, December 29, 2024, accompanied by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lefkoe.

The parents of the bride, Pharmacist Okon Jimmy Akpan and Atai (Obongawan) Mfon Ekong, who joined their daughter and son-in-law on the visit, conveyed their deepest and most sincere gratitude to His Eminence, the Oku Ibom Ibibio, for the warm and cordial reception they received. They were profoundly appreciative of the monarch’s paternal benevolence and hospitality, which has their visit a truly memorable occasion.

Speaking earlier, Adam Lefkoe shared a heartfelt reflection on the life-changing experience of meeting the Oku Ibom Ibibio, describing it as an unforgettable and enriching encounter that transcended cultural boundaries.

Adams, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, was deeply touched by the monarch’s hospitality and wisdom which has not only fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Ibibio’s rich cultural heritage, but also forged an unbreakable bond of love, respect, and admiration.

Also speaking, Mr. Sampson Ekong, uncle of the bride and Director of New York City Transit, lavished praise on the Oku Ibom Ibibio, describing him as a blessing and a fountain of wisdom to Akwa Ibom and Nigeria as a whole.

He particularly commended the monarch’s remarkable humility, simplicity and kindness, evident in his warm welcome and hospitality to visitors from all walks of life.

While addressing the guests, Ntenyin (Dr.) Etuk commenced by praising the Almighty God for the safe arrival of his august visitors from the United States to Akwa Ibom, and also acknowledged their presence as a tremendous honor, not only to his royal throne but also to the people of Akwa Ibom.

Furthermore, Oku Ibom Ibibio invited the Lefkoes to explore investment opportunities in Akwa Ibom. In a heartwarming ceremony, one-year-old Prince Arthur Akpan Lefkoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lefkoe, was bestowed the noble title of a Prince of the Oku Ibom Ibibio palace, marking the beginning of his promising life.

Finally, Atai (Obongawan) Edima Okon Bassey, the bride’s aunt, conveyed her sincere appreciation to the Oku Ibom Ibibio for warmly embracing his children and extending a gracious welcome to the Lefkoes at his palace. She commended him as a compassionate and devoted father to his people.

The event featured a lively performance by cultural troupes.
