Teacher Abducted With 137 Schoolchildren In Kaduna Died In Kidnappers’ Den, Says Kaduna Governor, Sani
Kaduna Governor, Uba Sani, revealed that among the 137 students abducted from Government Secondary and Primary Schools in Kuriga 1, Chikun LGA, one teacher did not survive the ordeal in the kidnappers’ hideout. Despite this tragic loss, the state government and Defence Headquarters confirmed the release of the kidnapped students. The children, who were taken on March 7, 2024, were eventually rescued in Zamfara State and have returned to Kaduna, reportedly in good spirits. Governor Sani clarified that the teacher’s absence was due to health complications, as reported by the military, while reassuring that all other students had safely reunited with their families.
