ITU COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ATTENDS STRATEGIC EXECUTIVE RETREAT FOR LG COUNCILS

The Executive Chairman of Itu Local Government Council, Hon. Ubong Nkutt, recently attended a strategic Executive Retreat alongside his Vice, Hon. Helen Nta and fellow heads of local government councils in Akwa Ibom State.

Held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, the two-day retreat, themed “Uniting for a Visionary Future,” aimed to enhance leadership and innovative solutions for local government administration and development.

The retreat, sponsored by the Akwa Ibom State Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, brought together key stakeholders to foster collaboration and sustainable development at the grassroots level. Participants engaged in capacity-building workshops, focusing on effective governance, strategic planning, and community engagement.

The retreat offered Hon. Nkutt valuable insights on effective leadership strategies to drive development in Itu Local Government Area, showcasing innovative solutions for local government administration, and the importance of adaptability and creativity. The
event facilitated networking opportunities, encouraging collaboration among local government councils and stakeholders.

Hon. Nkutt expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno for facilitating the training and pledged to utilize the knowledge acquired to fast-track the 8 Strategic Pillars of his GREEN AGENDA, aimed at benefiting the people of Itu.

Upon completing the retreat, Hon. Nkutt and his Vice received Certificates of Participation from Delia Omatsola, Vice-President of Training and Development at PPM.
