….distributes rice to all villages

The Chairman of Ikono Local Government Area, Engr. Oto-Obong Okon Essien, has applauded the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for giving Christmas gifts to the people of the area.
Addressing the people at Ikono Council Secretariat on Saturday, in an uplifting moment that brought smiles and joy to 148 village representatives in Ikono Local Government Area, Engr. Oto-Obong Essien described the governor as a caring father who thinks about his people in seasons and out of season.
The Council Boss thanked the people of Ikono for their unalloyed support to the governor and their alignment with the ARISE Agenda which is the cornerstone of the current administration’s roadmap.
She said the rice distribution was a symbol of the governor’s love to the people, and expressed gratitude to Pastor Eno for his compassionate leadership style and dedication to the welfare of Ikono people.
According to her, “the Governor has certainly in seasons and out of seasons deliver dividends of democracy to us, through this initiative. His Excellency has brought not just rice, but also the glow of hope and unity into the homes of our people,” .
Earlier, while supporting the governor’s gifts, the Chairman added additional bags of rice which distributed in Ikono Local Government Area.
In a goodwill message, community leaders, family heads and other key indigenes of the area, in their separate speeches, expressed appreciation to the governor for his gesture and prayed for God’s continuous blessings on the Governor and his family.
Others who spoke at the distribution venue were; the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Augustine Umoh, the member representing Ikono State Constituency in AKHA, Rt. Hon. Asuquo Nana, Councillors, PDP stakeholders, among others.
