In a remarkable display of philanthropy, support and solidarity, the Idot-Eyin Thomas Foundation, a non-profit organization, donated campaign materials and cash to the New Era Divine Movement Campaign Organization, ahead of Local Government elections. The donation was made in support of Hon. (Evangelist) Edidiong Inyang, the chairmanship, and councilorship candidates for Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.
The foundation’s founder, Mr. Idot-Eyin Thomas, presented the materials to Hon. Inyang and his team, comprising incoming councillors and campaign officials. The donation included 100 face-caps, 100 T-shirts, and 1000 posters. Additionally, Mr. Thomas donated 600,000 Naira in cash to support the councillors’ campaigns.
In his remarks, Mr. Thomas expressed his delight in supporting Hon. Inyang’s candidacy, praising him for his dedication to the community. He pledged his continued support, saying, “I’m delighted to host the incoming Chairman, Hon. Inyang, and the councillors in my domain. I appreciate them for honouring my invitation.”.
“I’m thrilled to host the incoming chairman and councillors,” Thomas said. “Today is special for me, not only because of your presence but also because I am celebrating the arrival of my newborn baby boy.”
Thomas expressed his long-standing desire to contribute to the community and praised Inyang’s emergence as the sole chairmanship candidate. “When I heard he was nominated, I thought, ‘This is great news!’ Murphy is my friend, and I’m proud to support him with these campaign materials and a cash donation for all incoming councillors.”.
Responding, the Chairmanship hopeful, Hon. EDIDIONG Inyang, overwhelmed by the gesture, thanked Mr. Thomas for his kindness. He described the event as “epoch-making” and promised to recognize the foundation’s efforts during his tenure. “I’m grateful for this show of love and support. You can see I didn’t come alone; I’ll dress all my incoming Councillors with the uniform, so we’ll be in unison,” he said.
“This outpouring of support is overwhelming! I give all glory to God for guiding us on this journey. I am grateful to Pastor Umo Eno for the opportunity to represent the Party. Without divine intervention, I wouldn’t be here today.”
Inyang also expressed his commitment to the Arise Agenda and thanked the community for their backing. “Today, we celebrate a young man from Ibesikpo Asutan who has made a real difference in our lives,” he noted.
He lauded Thomas for his philanthropic efforts, emphasizing that true generosity comes from the heart. “It’s not about how much money one has; it’s about the impact one makes,” he said.
“I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, my boss, Pastor Umo Eno, for the opportunity to represent the Party,” he remarked. “Without water, there can be no mud. Without God working through our leader, the Governor, I wouldn’t be standing here today as your incoming chairmanship candidate. I would like to name his newborn baby a ‘Child of the New Era.'”
While reiterating his commitment to Pastor Umo Eno’s Arise Agenda, Inyang thanked the elders and leaders of Ibesikpo Asutan for supporting his candidacy, as well as the women and youth for their steadfastness.
The chairmanship candidate praised Mr. Thomas for being a beacon of hope for the community through his foundation. “It’s not about the amount of money one possesses but the heart behind it”, he expressed.
