The Arise Youth Employment Portal is a digital platform launched by the Akwa Ibom State Government in October 2024 to address youth unemployment.

The portal serves as a comprehensive database for job opportunities across public and private sectors, facilitating efficient matching of job seekers with employers.
KEY FEATURES
User Registration: To access the portal, users must register as indigene of Akwa Ibom State, providing details such as local government area and a clear PDF file of their Certificate of Origin, with a maximum file size of 5MB

JOB LISTINGS: The portal aggregates job vacancies from various sectors, enabling users to search and apply for positions that align with their qualifications.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT: Beyond job listings, the portal offers information on training, funding, and other support programs aimed at enhancing youth employability.
LAUNCH AND GOVERNMENT INITIATIVES
Governor Umo Eno, during a virtual launch on October 21, 2024, emphasized the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives like the Arise Youth Employment Portal.
He highlighted the portal’s role in providing a transparent platform for job creation and wealth generation, pledging to support 100,000 youths across the state’s 31 local government areas with employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
