In a press release endorsed, Monday by Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah , Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has relieved his Commissioner for Special Duties, Engr. Dr. Bassey Okon of his appointment.
Though the release didn’t state reasons he’s been sacked from the State Executive Council, the statement says he’s been relieved of his appointment from the State Exco “with immediate effect’’.
Governor however thanked him for his services to the State and wishes him the best in future endeavors.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Special Duties will be supervised by the Secretary to the State Government, pending the appointment of a new Commissioner.
