In a significant step to strengthen the judiciary in Akwa Ibom State, Governor Umo Eno has inaugurated six newly appointed High Court Judges.
The appointments were approved by the National Judicial Council (NJC), reflecting their commitment to upholding judicial excellence in the state.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Uyo, amidst a gathering of dignitaries and members of the legal community.
To ensure the judges are well-equipped to carry out their responsibilities, Governor Eno presented them with official vehicles immediately after the ceremony.
The newly inaugurated judges are:
Umohandi, Mfon Winifred, Esq.
Ekanem, Bassey James, Esq.
Essien, Bassey Iwakaowo, Esq.
Morrison, Comfort Henry, Esq.
Ntekim, Edet Ekpo, Esq.
Eddie, Sharon Julius, Esq.
Governor Eno emphasized his administration’s commitment to the independence of the judiciary and the enhancement of its capacity to deliver justice effectively.
