Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo, today at the nation’s capital, Abuja added another feather to his cap, by clinching “This Nigeria Peace building and Innovative Leadership Award”.
The award which was conferred on the State Chief Executive at the second edition of the Annual Lecture and Gold Prize Award ceremony of Nigeria’s fastest growing print and online newspaper, THISNIGERIA Newspaper, at the Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre, Abuja was presented to the Governor by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa on behalf of This Nigeria Group.
Publisher of This Nigeria Newspapers and renowned editor, Eric Osagie in his opening speech said Governor Eno’s nomination was a product of overwhelming votes won in the Peace Building and Innovative Leadership category, adding that Pastor Eno has distinguished and acquitted himself creditably well in political succession management, and has maintained exemplary relationship with all his predecessors and unparalleled political inclusion since he assumed office as Governor.
The event which had as it’s theme; ‘25 years of Nigeria’s Unbroken Democracy: -Prospects &Possibilities, was Chaired by former Military Head of State, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar, while Prof. Mike Ozokhome,(SAN) delivered the lecture.
The Governor was represented by his Media Consultant, a former Commissioner and immediate past member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aniekan Umanah.
Other Awardees at the event include, Governor Kibir Yusuf of Kano State, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Independent Investigator, Jim Obaze and Isa Aremu.
