In the demonstration of his commitment to always identify with his people wherever they live, the member representing Essien Udim State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Prince Ukpong Akpabio today took time out his busy schedules to witness the traditional marriage of one of his constituents, Mr. Emmanuel Isonguyo and his wife, former Miss Idara Augustine Harrison.
The ceremony took place at the bride’s family compound in Etok Uruk Eshiet, Etim Ekpo Local Government Area.
Prince Akpabio described the groom, a Port Harcourt-based businessman as his core supporter who paid his way from the Rivers State Capital to attend his election campaigns in Essien Udim.
He thanked him for his unalloyed support and loyalty and congratulated them on their traditional marriage and prayed God to bless their union and make it fruitful.
The Essien Udim representative was accompanied to Etim Ekpo by a Board Member, Akwa Ibom State Council of Prerogative of Mercy, Hon. Nsini Umanah.
Prince Akpabio, a lawyer and Chairman, House Committee on Rules, Business, Ethics and Privileges had earlier in the day joined other lawmakers for an oversight function of facility tour at Ibom Multi-Specialty Hospital, Uyo.
