The heart of Akwa Ibom State is heavy with sorrow as the news of the passing of Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Governor Umo Eno, spreads across the state. Pastor Patience, a true pillar of support for her husband and the state, left a legacy of service, compassion, and faith that will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her departure, though deeply painful, is a reminder of the indelible mark she made on the lives of countless individuals, especially women and children across Akwa Ibom State.
As First Lady, Pastor Patience worked tirelessly to uplift the most vulnerable in society. She was an advocate for women, children, and persons with disabilities, championing programs that touched lives and gave hope to those in need. Her commitment to making a tangible difference was evident in her support for various initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Akwa Ibom’s citizens.
In a heartfelt tribute, Dr. Mrs. Rosemary Iwok, Founder of The Eden Life Foundation, expressed deep sorrow at the loss of a woman whose work mirrored her own. “Pastor Patience was a symbol of hope,” Dr. Iwok said, her voice filled with emotion. “Her passion for serving others was unparalleled.
