The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to professionalism and quality service delivery while serving Akwa Ibom people nay Nigerians.
The Police stated this when the leadership of Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Chapter visited the Command on a condolence over the death of Commissioner of Police, Late CP Waheed Ayilara.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration, ACP Asuquo Ebong who received the visitors maintained that the Command is pleased to identify with the body who have over the years been strong partners in progress. He added that the Command is honoured to have CRAN pay them this visit. The ACP assured them that the legacies of CP Waheed Ayilara was top notch policing with high regards to human rights and professionalism. This, he said, shall not depart from the Force as they strive in maintaining the sanctity of Peace, security and tranquility the State is enjoying.
ACP Ebong appreciated CRAN for remembering the Police at a time like this and urged them to continue doing their work effectively and efficiently noting that the Police on their own shall not let the People of Akwa Ibom State down.
Earlier in his message of Condolence, the Leader of CRAN Comrade Solomon Okpo conveyed their condolence to the Police Force. He regretted that Late CP Waheed Ayilara did not live long enough to enjoy the fruits of his labour, but expressed gladness that with the years the deceased lived on earth, he impacted humanity very greatly. He urged the family of the Late CP, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command and indeed the entire Police force to be consoled and live with the consciousness that the Late CP fought a good fight and kept the faith.
