Breaking News: Akwa Ibom Workers Set to Receive 13th Month Salary and New Minimum Wage

In an uplifting announcement at Eternity Mission International Church, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, conveyed his gratitude to the congregation and church leaders for their continued prayers and support.

Governor Eno revealed that public servants in Akwa Ibom are to receive a special 13th-month salary this December. Additionally, he shared that a new minimum wage of N80,000 will soon be implemented, pending the completion of a staff verification exercise currently underway.

He further appealed to labor unions, urging them not to consider a strike, reassuring all workers of his administration’s commitment to improving their welfare and addressing their needs. Governor Eno emphasized the government’s dedication to upholding a respectful and supportive environment within the public service.

Appointees were also reminded to exhibit respect and dedication in carrying out state functions, as the administration strives to serve the people of Akwa Ibom State effectively, utilizing available resources for the greatest benefit.
