…as Council Chairman, stakeholders hail Gov Eno
…food truck arrives IBENO, Thursday
The people of Essien Udim Local Government Area have described Governor Umo Eno as a promise keeper and a compassionate leader.
Speaking, Wednesday at Afaha Ikot Ebak, the Essien Udim council Secretariat while taking delivery of 5000 bags of rice, garri and beans, courtesy of the Governor, the beneficiaries who are vulnerable members of the local government area captured in the social register, and drawn from the 13 wards in the local government area, described the gesture as a demonstration of the Governor’s kind hearted disposition to the less privileged.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the local government area, Hon. Ntiedo Usoro who described the ARISE food security program as a lofty initiative, remarked that the program has brought succour to the downtrodden.
Others who spoke including, the immediate past Chairman of the council, Dr. Anthony Luke, former Chairman and Honorary Special Adviser to the Governor, Sir. Nse Ntuen, gave the Governor thumbs up, saying Essien Udim people are satisfied with his leadership style and would continue to rally support for the ARISE agenda of his government.
The food truck will be in IBENO tomorrow, Thursday.
