The First Phase of the Prince Akpabio Ward Briefing/Empowerment Program Ends

The First Phase of the Prince Akpabio Ward Briefing/Empowerment Program will end on Sunday, June 16, 2024, with Ukana West Ward II serving as the last of the eleven wards visited during Prince Ukpong Akpabio’s first year in office as Member representing Essien Udim State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

Within this past year, the Honorable Member, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Business, Rules, and Ethics, has visited Afaha, Ukana East, Odoro Ikot I&II, Ekpeyong I&II, Ikpe, Adiasim, Okon, and Ukana West I&II Wards, to brief on the Governor’s Successes and his Accomplishments, as well as empower not less than twenty constituents in each of the wards with a One Hundred Thousand Naira Business Grant, in support of Gov. Umo Eno’s Arise Agenda.

The one-year gesture, which is a demonstration of his avowed commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises in the area of human capital development, has helped ameliorate the sufferings of the constituents in the face of the current economic hardship and afforded them a chance to be briefed on his legislative achievements and those of the state government.

Concluding the tour in his home ward, the event will start with a special 1-year anniversary Thanksgiving at Mount Zion Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, Ukana Ikot Ide, by 10:00am followed by the dedication of the Constituency Office and Ward Briefing/ Empowerment program which is slated to be held as follows:
