…as Governor’s aide dedicates newborn
Wife of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno has charged parents to ensure that they bring up their children properly as instructed by the Bible. Pastor Eno gave the charge today at the House on the Rock, Uyo City church, at the child dedication of little Richard William Anwana, son of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurial Development, Mrs Meflyn Anwana.
The first Lady who was represented by the honourable commissioner for Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebiet quoted from the Holy Scriptures in Proverbs chapter 22 verse 6 and Psalms 127, verses 3 to 5, admonishing parents to see their offspring as gifts from God and the task of proper upbringing as a sacred ministry and responsibility. Pastor Eno further stressed that the benefits of proper child upbringing cannot be overemphasized, as a well – brought up child makes for a safer and peaceful society. The Governor’s Wife congratulated the William Anwana Family on the blessing of their third child, and prayed for God’s wisdom and guidance to help them raise God-fearing children.
Earlier in his homily, the Branch Pastor in charge of House on the Rock Uyo, Pastor Love Adesina charged worshipers not to move ancient spiritual landmarks. He described Landmarks as values and attributes that set the believer aside from others. He further admonished worshipers not to conform to the standards set by the world, but to be shining lights, influencing and positively affecting their immediate environments.
In their Thanksgiving, Mr. /Mrs. Anwana, expressed their deep gratitude to God for the gift of Richard Anwana, their son, promising to bring him up in the way of God by instilling in him sound moral virtues.

She specifically thanked the Governor’s wife for enhancing the lives of men, women, children, youths and vulnerable persons in the society through her pet project, “Golden Initiative For All’ (GIFA).
The well attended dedication service had in attendance representative of the Akwa Ibom State first lady and her entourage comprising wives of Commissioners, Commissioner for Information, Commissioner for Transport, commissioner for local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Commissioner for Economic Development, Chairman UCCDA, Chairman Ibom Air and MD Akicorp, DG IBOM LED, Program Director 𝗜𝗕𝗢𝗠 LED, members of College of personal aides to the Governor, Chairman Etinan LGA , Chairman Urueoffong Oruku LGA, Former Chairman Nsit Attai, SSA Women mobilization Eket Senatorial district, SSA Research and Documentation, SSA Grassroot Mobilization, members of the Entrepreneurship Community, GEMS FOUNDATION, BECOMING NETWORK amongst others.
