โฆAs Uyo Council Boss Rallies support for Gov. Umo Eno, Party

A’Ibom State PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Ubong Effiong, on Sat.11th January,2025, received the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council and the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Rt. Hon. Dr. Uwemedimo Udo in his office at the State Secretariat in Attan Offot, Uyo.
In appreciation,the state Youth Leader, Hon. Ubong Effiong, thanked the ALGON Chairman for considering his office worthy of visiting. He expressed gratitude for all the supports that led to his emergence as the leader of the youths in the party, promising apt delivery in every task that would be assigned to him.
Speaking during the visit, the ALGON Boss, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, expressed gratitude to God Almighty, the giver of life, for witnessing the elevation of Hon. Ubong Effiong, thanking the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for finding him worthy to serve at such capacity. He felicitated him for being steadfast in all his political endeavors. He also congratulated Mrs Imaobong Archibong for her emergence as the state Ex-officio III of the Party.
According to him, ” You served with me as the Leader of Uyo Local Government Legislative Council in the last dispensation of Local government. You were faithful and committed to the task saddled upon you and faithful with the little God gave you, as such, He brought you to where you’re seated now, therefore, you will succeed in Jesus’ name”.
Dr. Uwemedimo placed emphasis on the visionary leadership style of Gov. Umo Eno. He canvassed for support in view of second term bid of His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno in 2027, soliciting for commitment towards Party building and tasked that the message of “Arise Agenda” should be taken by youths to nooks and crannies of our communities for human advancement and capacity development, adding that the governor has a laudable synergy with the youths of Akwa Ibom through lofty entrepreneurial programs that is ongoing in the state.
In a promissory note, Dr. Uwemedimo assured the youth leader of equipping the office with necessary appliances to aid him dispense his duties accordingly, stating that a conducive environment often boost productivity.
Accompanying the ALGON Chairman were; The Vice Chairman, Uyo Local Government Council, Hon. Christiana Bassey, Immediate past Chairman of Essien Udim, Hon. Anthony Luke , Ex-officio III, Mrs Imaobong Archibong, Also in attendance were; PDP State youth Leader ,Hon. Ubong Essien, Esit Eket PDP Chapter Youth Leader, Comrade Ubong Itama, Uyo Chapter, Charatex Akpan, and others.
