In a bid to enhance infrastructure development and improve transportation networks in the Raffia City, the Executive Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Hon. Elder. Aniefiok Nkom, has officially flagged off a road grading project in the area.
The roads include, Udim Ukwa road and Nto Akpan Essien – Usong Atim road.
Flagging off the projects, Friday 6th December, 2024 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Primary school, Abak Oko Ward 5, the Council boss explained that the initiative aims to upgrade the condition of roads within the local government area, with a view of promoting smoother travel and stimulating economic growth in the area, assuring of his government’s determination to open more roads in the local government area to enhance economic activities and connectivity.
The project flag off was witnessed by officials of the council, the Political Leader of Ikot Ekpene, Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien, House of Assembly Member representing Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara State Constituency, Hon. Jerry Otu, royal fathers, Women, youths and a host of others.
