Other members of the committee are; the State Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Economic Adviser to the Governor, Dr. Uduakobong Inam, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters, Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael, Mrs. Affiong Ibanga representing Akwa Ibom State Chamber of Commerce, and Comrade Dominic Abang representing Labour.
This effort reflects a leadership style grounded in empathy and a deep commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of shared prosperity.
The initiative, aimed at reducing the economic strain on the most disadvantaged in our society, has been warmly received by communities throughout the state. Vulnerable groups, including widows, the elderly, and low-income households, have begun receiving food and essential items, bringing some respite to families struggling in these difficult times.
The impact of this gesture cannot be overstated, as it not only addresses immediate needs but also instills a sense of hope and inclusion among those who often feel neglected.
Governor Eno’s vision for Akwa Ibom is one that prioritizes the well-being of its people. This bulk purchase program is an extension of his broader policy of wealth redistribution and social equity. By sourcing goods in bulk and distributing them to those who need them most, he is demonstrating that governance can be both strategic and compassionate.
The program, which is set to touch every local government area, is a reminder that the strength of any state lies in the welfare of its citizens, particularly the most vulnerable. Governor Eno’s leadership has, once again, proven that he is not only a man of vision but also one with the heart to serve his people genuinely.
As we commend His Excellency for this thoughtful and impactful initiative, we encourage him to continue with such programs that uplift the underprivileged.
It is my hope that other leaders across the country will draw inspiration from Governor Eno’s model of governance, which combines development with human-centered policies.
This move by the Governor is a beacon of hope and a testament to what can be achieved when leadership focuses on the welfare of its people.
Akwa Ibom stands tall today, not only because of its infrastructural advancements but because of a Governor who understands that true development begins with the people. Governor Eno, we thank you, and we urge you to continue on this path of inclusive growth.
