Dr. Wisdom Enang’s academic prowess is firmly grounded in mechanical engineering, having earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees from the prestigious University of Bath in the UK.
In his current role as an Operations Engineering Consultant, Dr. Enang oversees the operations and maintenance of 24 shallow water oil and gas assets in Nigeria.
His journey is marked by his previous role as the engineering technical lead, where he successfully managed and provided design oversight for over 20 oil and gas projects between 2015 and 2020.
His key responsibilities spanned integrity restoration for brownfield projects, as well as Front-End and detailed engineering designs for greenfield projects.
As a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK, Dr. Enang is not only a practitioner but also a thought leader, having been published internationally in fields like carbon capture, energy economics, and operations digitization.
His expertise extends to policy development, where he contributes to Nigeria’s oil and gas reform program. He is also a respected voice in public discussions, offering insights on governance, local content policy, gas sector development, and more.
Dr. Enang’s contributions have earned him recognition on various platforms, including a feature on NTA’s Tuesday Live session, where he discussed “Gas Revolution and Nigeria’s Industrial Development.
His work has garnered national and international accolades, including honors from the Advances in Engineering Society and the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, among others.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Enang is deeply committed to mentorship and youth development. His efforts have been recognized by several organizations, including awards from the University of Uyo and the Akwa Ibom Influencers Mess.
He continues to support young engineers as a mentor and peer-reviewer, and he holds patron roles in youth and engineering organizations.
Dr. Wisdom Enang’s contributions transcend the oil and gas industry, impacting education, youth development, and national growth.
He is happily married with a daughter, and remains passionate about investing in technology and agriculture, two sectors he believes hold the key to Nigeria’s future.
