The Bauchi Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Isyaku Babale, for allegedly st@bbing his elder brother to d£ath during a fi¥ht.
Babale reportedly att@cked his brother at their residence in Anguwan Dawaki in the Bauchi Metropolis for cautioning him to stop taking cold Patch liquid popularly known as ‘Sholi’ in their room because of the unpleasant odour of the liquid.
He thereafter ran to Kasunwan Shanu area where he was arrested following a tip-off.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Wakil, in a statement on Sunday, March 31, said: “They rushed the victim to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) but he was certified d£ad by a medical doctor.
The development prompted the detectives to initiate a manhunt for the suspect, who was apprehended near Kasuwan Shanu area of Bauchi metropolis.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the detectives revealed that the suspect used a knife and st@bbed his elder brother on the 31st March 2024 at about 0400hrs after an argument between them.
Further investigations revealed that both men were always fi¥hting using dangerous weapons.”
