The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stated that he is indeed happy working for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress government.
Wike, a controversial chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and the only opposition member in Tinubu’s cabinet, made this remark on Saturday during the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The former Governor of Rivers State, Wike confirmed that he remains unapologetic about working for the Tinubu administration, despite the criticisms following his appointment.
The minister said he has no regrets about his decision as he is satisfied with his position in the current administration.
According to him, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government. I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.”
His appointment as FCT Minister broke out discussions, with many suggesting that his ministerial role was a reward for having contributed to Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election.
