The second half is underway, and it remains to be seen if Arsenal can maintain their momentum.

Second Half

Arsenal’s dominance waned in the second half, allowing Lyon to gain a foothold in the game. Despite this, Arsenal still maintained a slight edge in possession, with a final split of 56% to 44%. However, the team’s sloppiness led to numerous missed chances, with Saka and Marinelli guilty of squandering golden opportunities.

Lyon’s best chance came when Nuamah received a perfectly weighted pass, but David Raya made a crucial save to deny him. Arsenal’s attacking prowess was evident, with:

– 16 shots (6 on target, 10 off target)

In contrast, Lyon’s attack was muted, with only 8 shots (2 on target, 6 wide). David Raya was largely untested throughout the game. Both teams made substitutions, with Arsenal making 7 changes and Lyon making 5.
