UMANAH SHARES LEADERSHIP PERSPECTIVES WITH MORE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY 2024 GRADUATING CLASS

On Saturday, 15th April, a former National Assembly Member, brand startegist and media personality, Hon. Aniekan Umanah was guest at the graduation ceremony of Cohort 1, 2024 of the MORE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, held at the Bunker, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, where he shared his thoughts on leadership perspectives with the graduating students.
Delivering a graduation lecture on the topic; THE SECOND CURVE: IMPERATIVES FOR EMERGING LEADERS, Hon. Umanah, who is the Honorary Special Adviser on Communications/Media Consultant to Akwa State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, identified resilience, integrity, accountability, innovation, empathy, decisiveness, setting of targets, understanding one’s operating environment, thinking out of the box, diligence, understanding purpose, being focused and investing in social capital, amongst others as some of the key attributes that distinguishes a leader in today’s emerging world.
Umanah, a former Commissioner for Information and Communications in Akwa Ibom State, Public Relations expert and Public sector analyst also shared his private sector experience in leadership positions in his days in Outlook, Newswatch , MCT, African Media amongst others , and reminded the graduating class that as leaders they must strive to carve a niche for themselves in their respective spheres of life.
The cohort1’24 class (as they call it) comprising young minds desirous of acquiring some leadership skills, had enrolled for a six weeks intensive leadership training on ‘Becoming a Sought after Leader’ at the More Leadership Academy. Upon completion of the training exercise, the Academy found them worthy both in character and learning to be awarded a certificate of the More Leadership Academy.
High point of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates to the 64 successful graduands by the guest lecturer, and former National Assembly Member, Hon. Umanah.
